The skies are grey and it threatens to rain, but it doesn't... really longing for some drenching to escape this unbearable heat.

This was taken in Kangaroo Island when we went for a short vacation way back in June 2012. It was a gorgeous day and makes me want to run there right now to escape from this horrible heat wave we are experiencing.

When I saw the recipe for this upside down peach cake, I knew that I had to try. And this lovely family from our church gave us heaps of fresh peaches from their tree! Took it to our home group for supper and to celebrate my dear friend's birthday.

2014! And already a week old. Where did the time go? The last few months has been a blur. But its all quiet now... the decorations gone... the tree packed away... for another year.

just 2 weeks away!

Can't believe how fast the year has flown by! Just seems like yesterday that we were getting ready for our 6 weeks of holiday in India. Sigh... Anyways, the decorations are almost done and the tree is up. Its no surprise really that I will go for a black and white theme!!
